Do we need a 2nd photographer for our wedding?Honestly, this depends on several things. Will you and your fiance be getting ready in completely separate locations that will make it nearly impossible for one person to cover? Then, yes, you should include a 2nd photographer. Do you have over 200 guests coming and want to have every single angle covered during your ceremony and reception? Again, yes, you’ll want a 2nd photographer. However, when working solo, I’m still able to capture SO much of the ceremony and special moments. For example, if you choose to wait to see each other until you walk down the aisle, I can make sure to capture the look on your fiance’s face AND of you walking down the aisle. I’m experienced with managing larger bridal parties by myself as well. Ultimately, I think it comes down to where you’re getting ready. Otherwise, a single experienced photographer can cover most everything else.

Do you recommend doing an engagement session?Yes, absolutely, 100% recommend this. An engagement session also gives us a chance to get to know each other more before heading into the wedding planning frenzy. You can get a feel for my style of shooting and hopefully find some comfort in front of the camera. Engagement sessions are tailored to each couple... we can hang out at a park, go to an outdoor patio, have some drinks... you get the idea. Engagement sessions are meant to be fun and you’ll love having the photos, too!
